Instagram Feed is the section of your profile where all your photos and videos appear. Your followers can like and comment on your posts, and you can view all these interactions in the Activity section of your profile.

Favorites is a feature that allows you to save certain posts from your feed so you can easily access them later. To add a post to your favorites, tap the heart icon on the bottom right corner of the post. You can view all your favorite posts by tapping the Favorites tab in your profile.

3 Reasons why do you need to control your Instagram feed and favorites

Take inventory of the content already on your feed. If there's anything you wouldn't want someone to see, it's probably best to delete it or make it private. Once you do it, you can start thinking about the content you want to see on your feed.

If you're not sure what kind of aesthetic you're going for, look at some other Instagram feeds that you like and try to find commonalities between them. Do they tend to be very colorful? Are they mostly black and white? Do they feature a lot of close-ups or wide shots? Once you have a general idea of what you want your feed to look like.

Here are the 3 most common reasons why do you need to control your Instagram feed and favorites;

  1. By controlling your Instagram feed, you can make sure that only the content that you want to see appears in your feed. This is especially useful if you follow many people and don't want your feed to be overrun with content that you're not interested in.
  1. Having control over your favorites allows you to keep track of the posts you like the most. This helps you find specific posts later, and it also allows you to share your favorites with others more easily.
  1. Having more control over your Instagram account can help you curate your content better and create a feed that reflects your personal taste and interests. This can make your account more enjoyable to browse for you and your followers.

How to Control your Instagram Feed with Favorites and Following?

When you first start using Instagram, it can be a little overwhelming. There are so many people to follow and many photos to scroll through. But, as you use the app more, you'll start to develop favorites – people whose posts you always enjoy looking at. And hopefully, your list of followers will grow, too.

If you find that your feed is getting a little cluttered and you do not see the posts from the people you care about most, there's a way to fix that. You can control your feed by favoriting certain users and only following those who interest you. Here's how:

To favorite someone on Instagram:

  1. Tap the heart icon beneath one of their photos.
  2. Their username will appear in a list under your profile's "Favorites" section.

To only see posts from people you've favorited:

  1. Go to your profile and click on the three dots in the upper right corner.
  2. Tap "Posts You've Liked."
  3. Only the photos from people you've favorited will appear in your feed.

Following certain users is also a great way to make sure their posts are often in your feed. Go to their profile and tap the blue "Follow" button to do this.

Once you're following someone, their posts will appear higher up in your feed, so you're less likely to miss them.

If you're looking for a way to declutter your Instagram feed and only see posts from the people you're interested in, favoriting, and following are great options. Give them a try!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
