Knowing what I love to write about, why of course, this article is about anything and everything--but shopping. Well, in a sense. There are plenty of items that addicts like myself find inexplicable reward from, but for now, let's focus on clothes. Fashion. I immediately gravitate towards the vortex that is buy one get one 75% off. A steal! Yet in actuality, once the math is done, the discounted total is only around 30% off the supposed total with original prices.

Okay, hold on, I apologize for that digression--that mini rant sounds like a personal problem (it is). A small portion of my being wanted others to relate to this retail deception. Anyways, what constantly brings me back to the racks in the first place? My closet has already formed an oceanic depth, yet why can't I stop? Why does it feel as if there is no such thing as too many leather jackets?

I admit, the superficial societal approval an appealing "OOTD" gives immediately boosts my panting self-confidence, yet I find myself creating a statement of my own. Beyond external praises, every rip in my jean is a proclamation. A subtle platform to showcase who I am--in silence.

In the explosion of creativity as the ink explodes on the paper, writing away my ideas and tales, such spontaneity is similarly applied to my every outfit. From my crazy colored-stripped blouse to my yellow Adidas track pants, I am me.

And as I evolve, my thigh high boots transform along with me. Those yellow track pants eventually morphed into khakis, intended to match a now solid-colored blouse. Like skin, they are a part of my being.

Beyond my minimal glorification of fashion in my personal life, such a clothing revolution is constantly engraved in history. As wide-legged pants drew in the times of the counter-revolution, while suspenders emulated the eclectic 90s, times have undeniably changed, with clothes as the living and breathing testimony of such alterations.

As both mediums of self-expression, Coco Chanel and Charles Dickens alike brought about a specific spark in human imagination. And as a shopaholic and writer all-in-one, I will continue to express, to perpetuate individuality in limitless ways.

Go ahead, dare to be different.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
