Confessions Of A Lularoe Lover

NO, really, I can't stop buying

Confessions Of A Lularoe Lover

Around October of last year, I noticed a surge in printed leggings, skirts, shirts, and dresses. Everyone seemed to be getting crazy, multicolored clothes from somewhere, but I couldn't figure out where. I'm usually a conservative dresser, but I was slowly becoming obsessed with the printed leggings I was seeing everywhere, so I started asking around. My boyfriend's sister was wearing a maxi skirt one day, and I complimented it. "It's my new Lularoe!" she said. I was pretty sure that was a foreign word, so I just nodded and smiled. A few weeks later, I was invited to a "Lularoe Party" on Facebook. After clicking a few links, I found out that THIS was where everyone was getting their crazy printed clothing.

That was basically the end for me - I was hooked. I ordered a plain black pair of leggings to give it a try, and I fell in love. The legging material is the softest thing in the world, and I became obsessed with the most random prints. Besides my black pair(s), I impulsively bought walrus, french fry, pizza, and candy corn leggings (hello, it was Halloween). Then I found myself eyeing the tops and skirts, too.

Here's the basic rundown of the Lularoe operations: people who are in love with the products sign up to be consultants. From there, they sell their products online (primarily through Facebook) and a customer can buy them usually by commenting sold on a post or on a live video, or through the RoeWithMe website. Then you get an invoice from your consultant and you can either pick up your products (if your consultant is local) or pay for shipping. The catch is trying to get to the leggings, tops, or other products that you want before someone else comments "sold!" on the product. I'm probably so obsessed with buying stuff because I'm competitive and really there's no second guessing buying a Lularoe product. If you don't get it immediately, good luck finding it again! Each print is limited, so the products are basically one of a kind.

If you're thinking of giving Lularoe a try, I would recommend starting with leggings. Those are my primary love. But, I also love the Cassie skirt (a pencil skirt!) and the Carly dress (flowy and very versatile). One of my favorite local consultants is Marisa Ronci; she's super nice and super helpful with any questions that you have regarding products! Feel free to follow the link to her Lularoe Facebook group.

But, just be careful. You might blow through your paychecks on the super comfortable and versatile clothes that Lularoe has to offer.

(Yes, they make little kid leggings, too!)

And I'll never have to search long and hard for a holiday outfit again!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
