Complaining has become such a huge part of the college lifestyle. Whether it is through memes or various things like how much you didn't get to sleep this week. Overall, we just complain to much. So next time you are about to say one of the complaints listed below, think about how you can turn it into a positive. Positivity is a mentally healthy habit that we should all work on a little more. There is so much to be grateful for and so many things that go under appreciated in our day to day lives. Over a billion people in the world don't have enough money to sustain the basic necessities of life. We get so blinded by first world problems that we neglect these greater world problems.

1. I was up all night studying I didn't get any sleep, I hate school.

So many people would love to be in college but they financially can't afford it. Be grateful that you get to further your education, because a lot of people can't.

2. There's no parking.

Be lucky to have a car or have a method of transportation that you can use, even if it's the bus.

3. I hate when my phone charger won't reach my bed.

Be grateful for the phone you have and the bed you have to sleep in at night.

4. I hate it when I ask for them to leave off the pickles but they still put them on my sandwich.

It's so easy to take off the pickles for one, and for two be grateful you an afford food.

5. I hate when my friends look better than me in photos because it makes me look worse.

6. I wish that the shipping didn't take so long as it did.

Be grateful that you have the money to buy things online and have access to the internet.

7. I hate doing laundry.

Be not only grateful for the clothes you have and the ability and access to clean clothes.

8. I'm so mad they ran out of fries, how is that even possible.

Be grateful that you have access to food.

9. I wish I looked like that.

You should be comfortable in the body that you've been give.

11. I don't want to eat that today, the food at the house was so gross.

At least you have food to eat.

12. My computer is being so slow.

At least you have a computer that you have access to.

13. My roommates suck.

Be grateful you have a place to stay and people to live with.

14. I'm so poor.

A lot of people complain about being a poor college student when in actuality they aren't poor at all. They can afford food, rent, and have a car. Be grateful for what you have, and not being able to buy everything doesn't constitute as poor.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
