Warmer seasons are just around the corner! We say goodbye to the cold, dreary winter days and hello to sunny summer days.
Once summertime hits, how do you know if your air conditioning system is working properly? After all, it's been dormant for a few months.
In order to know if your air conditioning system is operational, here are signs there's something wrong.
No Cool Air
If you turn your air conditioner on only to find little to no air spilling out, that's a problem. It could be the cause of a dirty air filter. If that's the case, either clean or replace them.
If your air filter is spotless, it could be your air conditioner isn't sized properly. When that happens, there's not enough air to cool down the size of your home.
If that's the case, have the experts at Nexgen check it out.
Frozen Coils
When your air conditioner is constantly on, there's a chance the coils can freeze. When they're frozen, it limits the amount of air able to come through. Unfortunately, you'll have to leave the AC off for a bit to allow the coils to unfreeze.
Another reason for frozen coils is low refrigerant. You can easily recharge your system with more.
Fan Not Rotating
If your condenser fan isn't working, it's probably burnt out. With this as the case, it'll need to be replaced.
Too much humidity can be also at play. This can cause the water not to drain correctly. If you can't pinpoint the problem, it's best to call in professionals to help you out.
