Going to a huge nerd conviction to experience some of the years most iconic television and comic book moments is a time to truly be alive!
This was my second time going to Wizard World, even though my experiences were four years apart, the three-day weekend extravaganza was out of this world! From seeing some of my favorite actors to meeting new comic book authors/ artist was the highlight of my time there!
Being surrounded by other people who love to dive into the fandom worlds and cosplay along with you makes you feel like you are in a community of other people who understand you and do not make you feel isolated or alone in the world. There is so much detail and hard work that individuals put into their cosplay costumes, some may not be as bold but no matter how extravagant or simple a costume may be to the eye, just having the courage and the love to want to dress up is great!
Wall to wall tables with merchandise from every fandom and group you can think of! It is truly a breathtaking sight to see! The amount of merchandise that I went home with is insane!
There are definitely dos and don'ts when it comes to going to something like this! For one, you need to know what events and guidelines you have to follow based upon whether you bought general admission or a VIP package.
The questions and answers panels that they have available for everyone is my favorite part of the entire experience. My first visit I went into the television show "Charmed" panel and went into another one for the show this year! Being able to get up and ask questions to some of your favorite actors and possibly one of your idols is amazing! I got up and asked Holy Marie Combs and Brian Krause a hilarious question and then proceeded to get picked on by Drew Fuller for my outrageous question in his eyes!
Later that day, I went up to Drew's table and he was kind enough to offer my best friend and I a wonderful deal where we each got his autograph, a picture with him and a personal message video made!
Having the opportunity to talk to such incredible actors and get to know them on a personal level in a one on one conversation is totally worth every penny!
No matter if you only like comic books, fandom merchandise, cosplay or meeting celebrities Wizard World is definitely the event of the year for you to go to!
