It is nearing, the long-awaited event of the summer is on its way. From July 21st to the 24th, San Diego Comic Con will bring hundreds of thousands of people together to see their favorite stars, idols, and friends as well as allow them to enjoy the colorful, exciting environments of Comic Conās convention center. However, getting tickets to attend Comic Con is not as easy as one may think. In fact, if you do not have a badge or ticket already, Iām sorry to say that it is not possible to attend the event this year. Due to there being a limited amount of space in the convention center, Comic Con has had to cap off the list of people able to attend their events, presentations, and meet-ups.
How Do You Buy The Tickets?
There is quite a complex process you have to undergo to receive Comic Conās badges. Usually at the beginning of the year, Comic Con will announce the date and time when their Online Registration event will occur. You would not believe how fast their tickets get sold out. To buy a ticket, or badge, you need to have four things: a registration code, a Member ID, a last name and money. Member IDs are not always available to purchase, but they are like a username for your Comic-Con account. Once you have your Member ID, you will receive a registration code that is your key into the Registration area, where you would buy the ticket. However even if you manage to get into the Open Online Registration event, getting hold of a badge is not guaranteed. Yes, that is how fast they go.
How Much Do The Tickets Cost?
For the preview night, tickets for adults cost $35 and $18 for kids and seniors. When most of the exciting stuff occurs on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, tickets are $50 for adults and $25 for kids and seniors. On Sunday--dubbed ākids dayā--Comic-Con tickets are $35 for adults and $17 for kids and seniors. Comic Conās online system only accepts Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.
So I Canāt Go...What Do I Do Now?
Do not fret. If you cannot attend the event, Comic Con social media accounts will keep you posted on what they have going on. There are also plenty of YouTubers that post daily vlogs about the booths and panels within the Comic Con building. Additionally, it does not take long for full recordings of panels to be posted onto YouTube, typically within a day or two. So even if you cannot attend the event, you can still catch up on what happened with your favorite stars, companies and or idols.
I can't wait to see what this year's Comic Con has to offer!
