Transitioning into adulthood is never easy. Whether you are trying to figure out your major, land a job or cut your hair, it all takes courage. Sometimes you are told to “live a little” and on other occasions you are advised to do the complete opposite. As humans, we have a natural instinct to overthink everything. Small changes such as your hair color are ones we all panic about. I can definitely tell you about the major anxiety I feel whenever I sit in my hair stylist’s chair, ready for a hair change. I have learned to trust the person behind the chair whenever making drastic changes. For me, drastic changes consist of colored hair. I have always wanted to try pink, purple and blue hair but I was too afraid. I was worried it wouldn’t suit me, or worried my family would think I’m crazy, but it has been a fun experience.
Every year, during spring and summer, the hair color trend comes back in, and it’s always my favorite. Coloring your hair allows everyone to channel their inner mermaid. Celebrities of all ages and genders have also made this trend stick, allowing the world to see it's not just an age thing. Here are a few of my favorite hair styles I think everyone could use some inspiration from
1. If you are afraid of coloring your hair, start small. Try a balayage, and only color those areas.

2. If you believe in “go big or go home” lighten your entire hair and color it all.

3. Let’s talk hues.

Always remember to compliment your skin tone, if you feel like a color washes you out, it probably does. Try a color that looks good against your complexion. Does Pink suit you best? Try some light pink hair.
4. How about that mermaid/ pony rainbow hair? If those colors are for you, try them out! Don't be afraid.
Regardless of the color you add to you hair, you must always take care of it. Colored hair is high maintenance and it fades quickly. Also remember to do what makes you happy, don’t allow your fear or anxiety to stop you from trying a fun color on your hair.
