You go from August to May always having something that needs to get done. On top of school you're trying to hang out with friends, workout, and probably check to make sure you have clothes for the week. Then it finally comes down to the last couple weeks of school where it seems like you have a million things to do. It seems impossible to do three papers and study for two test at the same time. Somehow though you do it and it all pays off in the end because you finally made it to Summer!

1. You get to relax at the pool.

There's nothing better than going to the pool in the summer where you can relax and read a book because you have nothing you need to get done.

2. You don't have to set an alarm.

The best feeling about summer is not having to set an alarm for the next morning.

3. You get to eat real food now that you're home.

That's right no more dining hall food or having to find something to eat for dinner that you might have eaten for the whole week. It's time for a nice home cook meal.

4. You can go on vacation without having to worry about getting any school work done.

The best feeling is when you can leave your book bag at home because there's no need to bring it with. Sorry old friend time for you to sit this one out.

5. You get to hang out with all your friends from home.

You have all the time in the world now to get together since everyone is home. You can all finally share your embarrassing stories from the year because we know there might be a lot.

6. You can binge watch your favorite Netflix show.

You can finally sit down and really watch your Netflix show without all your homework assignments haunting you as you hit play next episode.

7. Finally getting to read that book that has been sitting on your nightstand for years.

You finally have all the time in the world now to just sit down and read the book you've been wanting to open since you bought it. For some us, you might have bought that book in December.

8. Getting to hang out with your pets you miss while at school.

If we're being completely honest most of us miss our pets while at school and when we come home we usually are just hanging with them rather than humans.

9. Finally, you can make spontaneous adventures.

Why not make spontaneous adventures with your favorite people. Your adventures could be anything from taking a day trip, going to go see a movie, or making a late night ice cream trip because why not.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
