We've made it, y'all. Somehow, through all the craziness that 2017 has brought upon us, we've (almost) made it through to the end. With this great accomplishment, comes one of the year's best holidays: Christmas. And with that, comes a ton of shopping and a ton of Christmas lists. We all want to get the perfect gift for the ones we love, and there are a million and one ideas out there for gifts to get for everyone from grandparents to college kids.

But there are so many things that aren't on those lists that we students desperately need, and, unfortunately, none of them can be picked up from Target.

1. A decent GPA

C's get degrees, but how much will extreme exhaustion and a constant state of confusion get me? Please send help.

2. A bank account with more than 53 cents

Silent prayer for every person who specifically orders something of a menu that is just expensive enough to leave exactly 6 cents in their account. You are the true heroes.

3. To run on something other than coffee...

4. ...But still an endless supply of Starbucks

It's a habit that can't be broken, and the Bucks is expensive.

5. A homecooked meal

I would sell one of my kidneys to never have to eat pizza rolls for the 5th night in a row again.

6. Motivation

"Are you suggesting that putting a pair of dirty sweatpants on at 4 in the afternoon is NOT considered 'being productive'?" is definitely something I have said before. I'm not gonna say that it's sad, but, I think we all know that it probably is not my most shining moment.

7. Group projects to be banned forever

They don't work, no one likes them, and one person always ends up doing all the work. SPREAD THE CHRISTMAS CHEER AND END THIS MADNESS, I BEG OF YOU.

8. A solid night of sleep

I have friends who only get 4 hours of sleep. Weekly.

9. All-nighters that don't make you feel like death the next day

You know that feeling where you start to nod off and then suddenly snap back awake? Yeah, that, it sucks and I would rather step on a lego.

10. The ability to only watch Netflix for a living

The one and only skill I am accomplished in, and I deserve to make a career out of it.

11. A little self-control

I don't always snack, but when I do, you can bet your bottom dollar that it's at least an entire family-sized bag of Doritos and an entire pint of Ben & Jerry's.

12. Never needing to buy a textbook again

$200 for an access code!? AN ACCESS CODE? That's fine, I'm fine, everything is FINE.

13. A little sanity

I want you to imagine the most enraged scream you've ever heard in your life. That is what my brain sounds like constantly.

14. To never have to sit through another boring lecture again

It's truly the worst when you check the clock at 10:58 and check back 10 minutes later and it's 10:59.

15. Job security

I am just so personally victimized by the fact that I can go through years of college only to come out afterwards STILL broke and jobless.

16. Clothes that clean themselves

17. Some sense of direction

What is a "taxes"? How do I dinner? Why must I adult?

18. The ability to eat a whole pizza daily and never gain weight

19. The existence of reverse osmosis studying

Reverse Osmosis Studying: falling asleep on a book to obtain its information. I could save so much time and energy PLUS get so much more rest if someone could make this happen for me.

20. To not be a procrastinator

Me: *receives assignment* I'm gonna finish this early so I don't have to worry about it!

Also me: *clicks turn in at 11:59 for a 12:00 deadline*

21. Being unstressed

Even my stress has stress. If one my presents could be this, my waistline, health, and mental strength would thank the heavens.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
