If you think about it, children's favorite cartoon "SpongeBob SquarePants" resonates with the typical college student. From move-in day to finals week, there are episodes, particularly the titles, that truly define the mood we have during college.

Here are a few episodes that any "SpongeBob" fanatic could relate to college experiences:

1. Move-in day.

Season 2, Episode 26b: "Squidville"

Moving into your dorms? Every building near your residence hall? Welcome to Squidville.

2. Noticing how many students on campus are different from you.

Season 1, Episode 10a: "Culture Shock"

Not exactly similar to the episode itself, but the title is pretty convincing. It's normal to develop cultural awareness during freshman year.

3. When you aren't sure of who you are yet.

Season 3, Episode 58a: "Missing Identity"

It's normal. Most people don't figure themselves out until senior year... if then even.

4. When you survive Sylly Week.

Season 1, Episode 7b: "Jellyfish Jam"

Watch the video below to give you the idea. Sylly week parties are the way to go.

5. "F is for friends who do stuff together..."

Season 1, Episode 10b: "F.U.N."

You've finally made your circle. Hanging with your friends in college is the dream. No responsibilities.

6. When you're too lazy to go to classes.

Season 6, Episode 114b: "Ditchin'"

It's bound to happen.

7. When you face the Freshman 15.

Season 3, Episode 43a: "Just One Bite"

Campus food will get you 'thicc'.... or in my case, very.

8. When you haven't studied at all for your tests.

Season 2, Episode 37a: "Procrastination"

A typical college student trait.

9. When you catch the college plague.

Season 1, Episode 15b: "Suds"

Flu season hits, and you're exposed to the plague. That's bad.

10. When you don't have any money.

Season 3, Episode 47b: "Can You Spare a Dime?"

You're broke. What do you ask?

11. College jobs galore.

Season 1, Episode 1a: "Help Wanted"

There's always a job to find on or off-campus.

12. Your grades are slipping.

Season 1, Episode 17b: "Rock Bottom"

At one point or another in their college career, every student hits it.

12. You've reached the next semester.

Season 3, Episode 54: "Ugh."

Yep.

13. When you're on academic probation.

Season 3, Episode 45b: "Doing Time"

Get your grades together, kid.

14. Going to the gym only once in the semester.

Season 1, Episode 11a: "MuscleBob BuffPants'

You finally hit the gym and you feel accomplished.

15. Your spring break.

Season 2, Episode 27a: "Prehibernation Week"

Your break before your summer break.

16. Finals.

Season 3, Episode 54: "Ugh."

Yeah. Ugh, again.

17. Move-out day.

Season 4, Episode 80a: "Best Day Ever"

Finally.

18. How do you feel after freshman year?

Season 6, Episode 104a: "Not Normal"

Not at all.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
