As final exams approach us quarter system folk, it can get ridiculously overwhelming, especially for those of us who work, do extra curricculars, and maybe an internship. When it starts to seem like it's too much to handle, don't lose sight of why you're doing it.
It's important to remind yourself what you're there for when your plate seems to pile up too high and you start to question if it's worth it.
Take one day at a time, and remember that juggling all this is temporary. You won't always have what seems like four jobs to juggle, but you have to do what you have to do to push through your college years.
Remember that you're going to school so that you don't always have to juggle what seems like 100 jobs; so you can focus on the one thing you love.
You're doing this to better yourself, and be able to do something meaningful to you.
Remember how you felt when you first started your college career; the optimism and eagerness. Find that within yourself again.
Even if an assignment seems redundant, or you think it's busy work, it has to get done, so you have to find a way to stay excited about your work.
Look at everything you do as an opportunity, whatever it may be. You never what could come out of a well done assignment. Don't just see them as assignments "just for class." See them as opportunities to build a network, pitch your work and market yourself.
When you have those moments, and we all do, where you feel like you're under so much pressure you start to question why you're there, take that as an opportunity to really remind yourself and actually answer that question.
Take a step back from your work for a moment. Take a break to think about why you're putting yourself through it, and let that refresh you before you go back to your work.
