Okay, so 2017 may not have been your year, or maybe the fall semester wasn't your favorite, but now is the time for a fresh start. Here is the definitive list of things (you plan) to do, starting January 1st:
1. Spend less money on takeout
Dining hall food definitely doesn't always satisfy your cravings but ordering delivery seriously will drain your bank account, especially when you're already paying thousands for a meal plan.
2. Wake up for all your early classes
Trust me, I am not a morning person so I know how it feels when you are abruptly woken up by your alarm, but you're missing valuable information when you sleep through you're 8:30 am class.
3. Get to bed earlier
Nobody likes a roommate that is up until 4 am with their desk lamp on, and I'm sure you don't like being up that late either. So do everyone a favor and SLEEP.
4. Go to the library more often
Even if your library is super far away, it's really helpful to study somewhere surrounded by quiet, motivated students so you can get the best work out of yourself.
5. Wash your sheets at least every 2 weeks
Sheets get like seriously dirty, so even if it's a pain in the butt to get that fitted sheet back on the mattress, just do it.
6. Hit the gym
This is pretty much everyone's new year's resolution, but seriously, college can get really stressful and working out has been proven to relieve some of that.
7. Call home more often
Keep those promises you made to your parents and keep them in the loop with a phone call or a text.
