No, the most fun is not in the classroom. Yes, we stay up all night and go on random adventures- but we're in college so we are obligated to do so, right?

Let's be real- we will most likely remember more of the memories and adventures with our friends in the middle of the night then the hours we spent in the classroom or the library! Don't get me wrong those are important hours (I mean for the most part) but seriously, get out there and have some fun!

Yes, the best things happen outside of the classroom, but that doesn't mean friendships can't be started in the classroom! Everything that isn't school related is probably the most fun you're having during college- just stating the truth!

What are the best things about college you may ask? Friendships. Food. Adventures.

I don't know what more you could possibly want from college, and I can tell ya most of that doesn't happen in the classroom! If you aren't feeling like your college experience is filled with fun and adventure, then get plugged in! Get involved in campus life whether that's clubs, intramural sports or dorm life! If that doesn't suit your fancy, then get a job to keep you busy and give you new co-workers as friends (plus make money).

Whether an adventure for you is going off campus and finding a new coffee shop to do homework in (because homework first, right??) or it is waking up at two am to drive to the Grand Canyon with your friends to watch the sunrise, it is worthwhile! Find friends that will adventure with you and make your time out of the classroom more enjoyable and less stressful! Now if you say that you don't have time for adventure-- then you're wrong! No, don't skip a class but stay up late or wake up early and make time for something that will bring you joy! You will always have time to sleep later, but you'll never gain back this time for adventure.

FRIENDS! Friendships make all the difference!! If you've ever heard the phrase 'you become who you surround yourself with', then you should be actively looking for the group of friends that will constantly get you out of the library and out of your comfort zone! Plan an adventure today! Get outside of the classroom and live it up. No you don't have to party and go out to experience a good time outside of the classroom (I mean if that's your thing then hey go for it!) but seriously, go meet people and plan an adventure.

Bottom line is, there is more to college than time in the classroom! Take advantage of that! Whether you're about to enter college, or you're already in college- be intentional about having fun and experiencing life outside of the classroom. Use those experiences to help yourself grow, you only go to college once, don't leave regretting spending all 4 years in your room! Take courage, and begin a new adventure outside of the classroom today!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
