"I'm going to eat healthier," "I'm going to study and get all A's!"—I'm sure all college students can relate to this and admit that they make these New Year's resolutions that last till about the end of January, if that. I can admit that I have made more than half of these New Year's resolutions and ill let you decide how long they lasted for.
1. I'm going to go to the gym everyday.
Everyday soon turns into 3 days a week, and soon its "I'm too busy, I don't have any time."
2. I'm going to study harder and be prepared for all of my tests.
You soon find yourself telling yourself that you can wait a little longer to study, and then you find yourself studying the day before.
3. I'm not going to spend $400 every month on food.
"Let's go to Mizu tonight," or "Let's go get those dope acai bowls from Original Grain today" (If you go to Syracuse, you'll understand).
4. I'm not going to go to bed at 2 a.m when I have a 9 a.m. the next morning.
You then find yourself scrolling through Instagram and looking at Snapchat stories that you've already seen.
5. I'm going to become more involved and join clubs.
"I don't have time, maybe I'll go to the next general meeting."
6. I'm not going to procrastinate doing my work.
*Writes a 10 page paper the night before*
7. I'm not going to spend hours watching Netflix instead of studying.
Oh look, a new episode of "Orange is the New Black."
8. I'm not going to drink Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
But the social calendar looks bomb this weekend...
9. I'm going to stop napping 10 times a day.
Can't a girl just get some sleep?
10. I will actually follow the long list of New Year's resolutions.
Well, there's always next year.
