There are so many things that you realize that you need in college when you actually get to college, whether that is shoes, clothes, makeup, snacks etc. I am in my sophomore year and there are still things that I discover that I need every day. Here are 11 things that should be essential in college.

1. Birkenstocks

Yes, these shoes will be your go to when you need to head to class or make a quick run to the store. They will be your life line until winter comes, I promise.

2. Lula Roe Randy Shirt

Trust me, you will thank me for this item. It is the perfect shirt for when you want to lounge around your apartment or dorm on a rainy or lazy day! And yes, you will have many rainy and lazy days.

3. Starbucks Drinks

Your Starbucks on campus will be your go to. You will have to find the right times to go, but when you do, you will be so happy that you made the choice to get yourself a caramel frapp or pumpkin spice latte.

4. Longchamp Bag

This bag will be your favorite bag when you are heading to an exam or to anywhere else on campus. You can put as little or as much in it!

5. Lipsense

You will need your favorite lipstick color (that doesn't smudge) and gloss when heading to your class or when you are meeting up with your friends.

6. Nutri Grain Bars

Your go to snack in college! It's so easy to grab it and go when you are leaving for a class!

7. Workout Tanks

Any brand, you will need them! I have a few of mine from TJ Maxx, there are some really cute and affordable ones you can get!

8. Nutella

You will want to put this on anything and everything! I put this on my waffles and my candy. I promise you guys I work out!

9. Comfort Colors T-Shirts

Need I say more. These shirts are sooo comfortable to wear ALL of the time. There are long sleeve and short sleeve comfort color t-shirts

10. Your Bible

This may sound silly as an essential item, but you never know when you might need it. You may get invited to a bible study night or need it for inspiration!

11. Your laptop/ipad mini

You will want to take notes in class to remember your lectures! So if you aren't a pen/paper kind of person, you will want to take this route for classes/studying!

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?
