Hi, world,

Yes, I'm a college student and yes my priority is school but, here's what it's like to be a busy college student and why it's totally doable to be in college and be really busy!

First and foremost I'm a full-time college student and that in and of itself sounds like a lot to some people. But, once you get out of your gen ed courses and into courses for your major if you really have a passion for the field it will be easy for you and you will find it easy to catch on to things so then you wont have to spend hours upon hours studying for a course just to pass. Instead, you will spend hours studying because you are truly interested and you can make it fun for yourself.

Secondly, I also have a job because how else can I afford to live if I don't have a job. But, my job is fun so while yes I am often either in class or at work at least I have fun during my classes and fun at my job. My co-workers are more than just co-workers, in fact, they have become my friends.

Third, I am in two organizations in my college campus and I love being involved in both of them! One of them I'm far more involved with than the other. In fact, on my campus, the organization that I am highly involved with is this the odyssey!

So how is it possible to balance all of this and still be able to eat and sleep? I'm not gonna lie to you it is hard. But here's a secret. I planner everything and then cross things off when I do them. This is so that when I open my planner on say a Tuesday I can look and see what I need to do that day and how long I have blocked off to do that task.

So the main thing with being busy while in college I have found is that you have to enjoy everything that you are doing so that it never feels like you are dragging through something. Find a job that you really love, find a major that you are totally passionate about, join clubs and organizations that are things that you totally enjoy doing! And then even though you are really busy you won't feel like you are making yourself do things you will feel like you are hanging out with friends and learning about things that you have always wanted to know about.

It's all worth it at the end of the day!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
