College is supposed to be the most insane, crazy, and fun four years of your life, right?

I used to be the one that would drag my friends out to the bars and stay out until 4 am, but suddenly something just changed in me. I suddenly became the boring and constantly wanting to sleep kind of friend.

Here are 8 different things that happen when you're the college student who is always sleepy:

1. You're now the "grandma" friend.

No one is going to ask you to go out with them and do something crazy at 1 a.m. on a Friday because they know that you'll already be in bed by that time.

2. Naps happen multiple times a day.

Yes, I'm aware I already took a 2 hour nap today. Yes, I am also aware that it is 7 p.m. and I am going to take another nap. Oh and yes, I will also be going to sleep by 11 p.m. tonight.

3. Your motivation to do anything productive has just gone out the window.

I'm aware that this essay needs to be written and these reading assignments I have to do, but just give me a break and let me just collect myself by taking a quick nap before any of it gets done.

4. And when you are out, all you can think about is how much you're missing your bed.

Drinks are everywhere and everyone is shouting and having a great time, but you really know where you'd rather be.

5. 1 a.m. has become your limit to staying out.

There was once a time I would stay out until the sun came up the next morning and I loved it. But, I am no longer that girl and I just need to get out of here and get some sleep.

6. Netflix until you fall asleep is your ideal date night.

Throw some food into the mix and I am one happy gal.

7. When you don't have anything important to wake up to, you sleep until noon.

And it is an amazing feeling.

8. You have the urge to "rest your eyes" during class.

This is the most dangerous because you need to stay FOCUSED!

Being the college student that is always sleepy has it's advantages and disadvantages. Advantage being you stay out of trouble and a disadvantage being you miss the excitement of the trouble you could be getting into. But, it doesn't matter because you're most likely asleep and loving every second of it.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
