Personally, I grew up despising the smell of coffee. While my parents loved waking up to that aroma every single morning, I couldn't stand it. However, when I began to work at my local bagel store, my perspective changed. Knowing that I needed to be peppy and energetic at sunrise, I decided that I needed more support than a decent night's sleep. So, I turned to coffee and now, as a stressed college student, I haven't looked back. Here is the basic outline of how every coffee addict comes to be, as told by some of the most relatable characters.

1. You are desperate for that extra kick:

Have to study for an exam? Work an early shift? The caffeine in coffee will be the perfect way to stay awake!

2. You try a taste of coffee and can't help but cringe:

No matter how light and sweet it originally is made, it tastes disgusting. Coffee is an acquired taste, but trust me, you'll learn to love it.

3. Your coffee is basically cream and sugar with coffee flavoring:

I can't lie, I still drink my coffee this way, except usually with espresso to up the caffeine level. Hey, as long as I get coffee.

4. You slowly begin to rely on coffee to power through your day:

One or two late nights or early mornings begin to evolve into a daily ritual. Somehow, you wind up getting your daily source of water through coffee.

5. Your friends suffer this addiction with you:

My best friend and I have bonded the most over Dunkin Donuts runs -- we have each other's orders memorized (okay, maybe we get the same thing). College kids especially will always be ready for a coffee date.

6. You cannot function without it:

You miss a cup? Suddenly, you're head starts to pound and your hands begin to shake. You're addicted.

7. The unaffected try and intervene:

There are a few people in this world have decided to not indulge in the benefits of coffee. When they see just how addicted you've become, they may try and "help".

8. It's too late, you already basically live at the coffee shop:

You're a goner. You know the location of every Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks or cafe near your work, school and home. Many of the employees have your order memorized.

9. You're in too deep...

You're at the point where you consume more coffee than anything else. It might be a problem, but you've accepted it.

I've definitely hit all of the stages as a coffee lover. While I know that I am absolutely addicted to this drink, I have no plans of stopping any time soon.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
