Hi friends, it has been fun knowing you. Especially all of my sociology and criminal justice friends and spending the past 2 to 3 years with you. It's been a blast. One day we can all laugh about our stress, our mental breakdowns, our sleep-deprived nights, and everything else. Remember all of the stressful exams and weeks of preparing for finals. Those were some good times, huh?
But for the Coronavirus stuff that is going on right now - I am SO SORRY that you spent the past 4 years in college to graduate and then this virus happened and you might be graduating online. Just remember that you are valued and it was worth it! Graduation will still happen, even if it's delayed. It's not the end of the world … yet (but actually probably isn't we're just living in a pandemic).
Don't think that your college career was a waste of time - it wasn't. Everything you have worked for so far will pay off. It was all worth it. It's just the world is completely crazy right now and it almost feels like we're living in a "Twilight Zone" episode. It's crazy that this is actually a reality now! How schools across the United States have closed, how businesses have closed, how everything we pretty much have as humans is closed now. But it's for safety, so PLEASE wash your hands and don't get others sick! Please and thank you.
It's okay to take a break and breathe after you graduate (or even while we all are being quarantined) - the break is well deserved. Some people quite don't understand how much pressure and stress a college student deals with on a daily basis. It's hard to know about it unless you've been through it. So take your break, do something that makes you happy. And then once all this Coronavirus stuff passes over - get on with your life and go to your "real world" adult jobs. Onto the next phase of life:
