To My Church Family
Oxford Dictionaries

Over a year ago, God decided that it was time for me to step out of my comfort zone. Right before I began my freshman year of college, I was spiritually in a dry spell. Listening to what God was trying to tell me, I took a leap of faith and visited a church, Covenant Connections Church. Immediately, I grew in my walk with the Lord. The environment in this church is amazing, and it made me stay here permanently! In my short time here, I am beyond thankful for everyone and everything God has done in my life during this time. I want to thank everyone at Covenant Connections Church for listening to the Lord.

Thank you to all of our members of our welcome team. For myself and anyone else who attends this church, you are the first impression of the environment of our church. Anyone who walks through the doors immediately feel welcomed because of all of you. You made my first impression amazing, and I know that it must be true for everyone else that walks into the building.

Thank you to all of the leaders in our church. Each leader is very strong in their walk with the Lord, and there are several people the really admire and look up to the leaders. Thank you for being an example to everyone, and thank you for being mentors to people my age and younger. Thank you for always having big smiles on your faces, and thank you for loving others unconditionally. Your roles are so important in this church, and I am so thankful for a church family like this!

Thank you to our lead pastor for being real with us. Thank you for being a pastor that does not sugar coat God's word. I am thankful for a pastor that is not afraid to go broke in front of everyone. Thank you for always listening to the Lord and following him wholeheartedly. Thank you for showing us what life is like when you love the Lord with everything you have. Thank you for loving the church. Thank you for being so loving and welcoming to everyone around you.

Thank you to the entire worship team for also listening to the Lord. Thank you for always being so obedient, and thank you for being genuine in worship. Thank you for always putting your heart and soul into everything. On top of this, everyone on the worship team worships God with their lives. Thank you for being a true example of love and faith.

Thank you to my small group. Thank you for being a group of people that will hold me accountable. Thank you for giving us another opportunity to worship and serve the Lord together. I am thankful to have a small group with people in the same age range as me, and I am beyond thankful for the friendships that have been created as a result of our small group.

Thank you to all of the children and teenagers in the church. Not only do you make the place brighter, but your eagerness to learn about the Lord makes my heart happy. I am beyond thankful for the future generation in this church. I am thankful for the sweet nature that each child possesses, and I am thankful that God placed me in their lives to lead and teach them. I look forward to seeing how God will use them in the future.

Most importantly, thank you God for placing me here at Covenant Connections Church to grow and do ministry. Thank you for each partner in this church, and thank you for all of the opportunities that you have given me here. I am thankful to be a part of such a loving and genuine church. Thank you, Lord for all that you have done for me.

Heart and Soul.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
