The Quintessential Christmas List For Absolutely EVERYone

A list that everyone can use this holiday season.

As Christmas approaches, my friends and family keep asking me what I want for Christmas. This is a difficult question that everyone is faced with during the holidays, so I figured I’d come up with a Christmas list that woman AND men can use since everyone seems to be as clueless as me.

1. Underwear & Socks

We all wear them and they are very useful. Asking for a couple new pairs for Christmas might be in your best interest. I always lose my socks in college so socks will be on my list this year.

2. Anything for your living space

This sounds so basic, but I could think of a couple things that I need for my living area that I could ask for for Christmas. If you’re a coffee drinker, I highly recommend asking for a Keurig. It is one of the greatest inventions ever.

3. A new pair of shoes

A new pair of shoes are always needed and are one of my favorite things to ask for for Christmas. Again, we all wear them and we all need them so this is a very good investment.

4. A Target gift card

Even if I go to Target with the intention of buying one thing, I always end up with seven. I know I’m not the only one who does this either so a Target gift card is a must.

5. A Netflix subscription

If you’re in college and have a lot of free time on your hands, you swear by Netflix. If you don’t already have a subscription, this should be number one on your list.

6. New Headphones

Everyone always needs a new pair of headphones. They are a part of my everyday use. I think I would get a wireless pair so the cord doesn’t get in the way while you’re at the gym or just walking around.

7. Money

If you are picky about your gifts, just ask for money. This way you can get what you want and you can avoid pretending to like a gift when you really don’t.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
