If you are looking for plans with your significant other but cannot decide, you have come to the right place.

Listed below are dates that my boyfriend and I came up with to share with you.

P.S. These plans are all curated on a college student budget!

1. Holiday Light Show (Jones Beach)

From November 17th, 2017 until December 31st, 2017, Jones Beach offers a magical experience in the comfort of your car. The hours are Sunday-Thursday (dusk-10 p.m.) and Friday-Saturday (dusk-11 p.m.). If you pay online, the cost is cut by $5. Prices vary based on of your vehicle. Online purchase of a standard vehicle is $20. At the gate, a standard vehicle is $25 (Monday-Thursday) and $30 (Friday-Sunday).

This is a perfect example for those wanting to save money here or there...This plan is ideal for double dates!

2. Holiday Light Show (Shirley)

From December 1st-30th, 2017, Smiths Point beach offers the same idea Jones Beach holds but closer to those living in Suffolk County. The hours are Friday-Sunday (5 p.m.-10 p.m.) and Monday-Thursday (5 p.m.-9 p.m.). The cost is $20 per car.

This event is run by the Girl Scouts of America, all the proceeds go directly to the children. The proceeds help the girls go to camp in the summer!

3. "A Christmas Story" at the Patchogue Theatre

From December 15th-23rd, 2017 the Patchogue Theatre is presenting "A Christmas Story." For those that want to get into the jolly spirit, this is perfect for you. Especially for college students...they offer tickets at $35 (one hour before showtime with Student ID).

Theatre productions are a must. If you are into theatre or NOT, a local theatre production is an easy way to support your local actors in the community.

If you DO have a partner who is into the theatre...keep in mind almost every town has play productions. If you can not make your way into the city, local is the way to go.

4. Bayville Winter Wonderland

From November 24th, 2017-January 1st, 2018, the Bayville Adventure Park is hosting a Holiday Park features an arcade and holiday-themed rides for only $22.75 for the day.

If you sign up on their website for emails, you will receive a coupon in your email for a discounted rate on your admission.

This plan is a perfect way to getting to know your significant other's’ family!

5. The RINX

The Rinx, located in Hauppauge and Port Jefferson is a good way to break the ice with your partner! On Fridays, they have “Rock & Roll Night” from 8 p.m.-10 p.m.; the cost is about $20 each. That includes ice skates!

This is a personal FAVORITE for the holidays. The local ice skating rink is a great way for the eager significant other who does not have the patience to go into the city.

Happy holidays!!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
