I understand how you feel. More people than you realize understand how you feel.
You've been feeling low and like you're out of your mind. You don't know if anyone can relate. You feel alone in this battle. You barely get on social media these days because you don't have the energy to laugh at memes you once found funny, the patience to watch animal videos, and then you see all your friends having fun without you.
"You did this to yourself," you tell yourself. "You can't be mad at everyone for hanging out without you. You didn't want to." But you're still mad. Not at them. At yourself.
The loneliness gets to you. You try to avoid the word depression.
You get lost in your thoughts. You start thinking about the energy life requires.
"I'm so alone, but I don't feel like talking to people."
"I literally cannot wake up for my 8 a.m. class tomorrow."
You realize that living on a daily basis requires even a small amount of motivation, energy, and concentration. You don't want to deal with 'the everyday' anymore. You want to sleep. But going to sleep means you must wake up and get out of bed and participate in life once more.
You don't want to say it, but today, you want to die. Do you want to kill yourself? No. But people don't understand that, and that's why you're scared to tell your parents or your friends. They'll think that you're unsafe being by yourself, in a vehicle, taking ibuprofen or anything that you potentially use to harm yourself.
You want to die. You don't want to be here. You want to be void. You want to live in darkness. You don't want light. You don't want to even just be anymore. You want to die.
You try to talk to your boyfriend, your best friend, or your mother, and they say that they understand, but do they really? You pray for someone to swoop in and show you that life is worth every heartache and every bad day. But no one on this earth is that heroic. There's only one true Hero, but you don't know how to get in touch with Him. It's been so long since you've really prayed. It's been so long since you've felt like you needed God.
You know He made your life to matter but you don't feel it. You know He made you to glorify Him but you don't know how to show it. You don't know how to be a light. To glorify someone who made the sweetness of strawberries, the cuteness of puppies, and the weightlessness of gravity.
With friends, you laugh on cue just so your friends won't realize then bug you about what's wrong. You don't want to show the pain but sometimes you do because you want to show a small cry for help. But you don't want to be accused of begging for attention or lying.
You don't feel like you belong anywhere. You feel like no one texts you, calls you, or Snapchats you anymore.
"Where you been? What you at? What's on your mind? They say every life precious but nobody cares about mine."
There's more to life than what you see for yourself. God has a plan laid out perfectly for you. I know that may seem like an overused phrase, but it's true. If only we could see our lives from God's perspective. You are a perfect fit into this world He made.
If that doesn't make you want to live and glorify Him, then think about the people in your life.
If you were to die. . .
think about how your parents would cry every night, wondering where they went wrong or what they could have done.
think about your grandparents, their precious grandbaby that they loved and cherished so much, died before they did.
think about your brother, with no sister to pick on or look up to no longer.
think about your best friend, losing the only person she could tell her deepest thoughts to, with no judgment whatsoever.
think about your boyfriend, who barely cries, but now cries himself to sleep every night, wanting one last kiss, one last hug, and one last look into your blue eyes.
think about your empty seat in your favorite class.
think about your favorite teacher saying "She was so smart. She would have gone far, only if. . ."
think about everything in life you didn't do.
think about every goal you've yet to reach.
Look for a purpose in life. Find how you can glorify the One who molded you into the perfect kind of you that exists today.
You don't have to die today. Choose to live today. Because you can help someone who goes through the same thing as you.

"Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."--Isaiah 41:10
