Best Halloween Costumes Of Childhood

Looking back, the best halloween costumes were definitely when we were children. There was a no dressing up to impress anyone and it wasn't something where we had to look cute for a party that we were going to. Let's face it, dressing up for halloween in college is hard and kind of exhausting. As a child, dressing up was simple and fun. Here are some of the all time best halloween costumes you probably wore at some point during your childhood.

1. Disney Princess

If you were a girl, chances are you were probably a Disney Princess at some point, maybe you were a Disney Princess every single year if you were really into that. All you had to to was throw on a dress and crown and you were golden and ready to go get your candy.

2. Pumpkin

Being a chubby baby, you were more than likely able to get away with basically being an orange ball for Halloween. Don't get me wrong though, a baby pumpkin is adorable.

3. Any kind of animal

Chances are your parent thought you would look cute as some sort of cute, fuzzy animal. And they were totally right. Not only did you get to stay warm and bundled up, you looked absolutely adorable while doing so. Who doesn't love to see a cute teddy bear or adorable Dalmatian?

4. Teletubbies

Not much to say here besides this is the best costume EVER.

5. Batman

Honestly, any superhero was awesome as a kid. What kid din't want to dress up as their favorite crime solver? If you dressed up like this, you were saving the world one awesome costume at a time.

6. Vampire

Being something scary for halloween was always fun as a kid because that meant going all out. Pop in some fake teeth and use some fake blood and I'm sure you were the scariest kid in the school

7. Witch

This is a fan favorite. Dressing up as a witch is fun and you get to pretend that you know a little bit of magic. Little brother getting on your nerves? No problem, with you halloween costume and imagination you just turned him into a frog anyway.

8. Dragon

While this costume probably isn't the most comfortable, as a kid it was one of the coolest. If you were a dragon, you had a powerful (and pretty awesome) costume that made you feel like you could blow fire at anyone.

9. Pirate

Instead of snatching up gold and treasure you were snatching up piles of candy. No shame, as a kid you had one of the best costumes to sail the seas.

10. Ghost

Now either you couldn't decide on what you wanted to be or your parents just got a little lazy, but either way, it turned out to be one of the best costumes because all you had to do was throw a sheet over your head.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
