Even in the middle of winter, Chicago doesn't lose its beauty, but people do t take enough time to appreciate it due to the weather. So, this weekend, grab your friends and go on a winter wonderland photo shoot. Let this be a guide to finding the perfect spot to take your pictures.

1. The frozen lake

This one is obvious, and probably has been done a million times, but it's just as breathtaking each and every time. Plus, going north or south may let the photographer take various shots of the lake if it's not completely frozen, or even city views.

2. The Bean

Another classic, but this is the perfect place to take your perfect #SnowSelfie. Added bonus: the rest of Millenium Park, in its full winter glory including the ice skaters and nature.

3. The zoo

If you and your friends are animal lovers, then look no further than going to do a photoshoot at the zoo. Look up the dates for the holiday lights, if applicable, or else don't forget to visit the nature museum and Lincoln Park botanical garden next door.

4. Restaurant igloos

The trend over the last few winters was to grab your friends and reserve an igloo. These opportunities are usually harder to get due to high demand, so be sure to take pictures if you're lucky enough to visit.

5. Your own neighborhood or street

Chicago received a foot of snow in the last week, which while inconvenient, did leave the outside looking like we live in a snow globe. So, like I took this photo immediately outside my apartment, take a moment to look around and photograph the tree that now has icicles or the park that is covered with snow.
