Chelsea Handler: an iconic 21st-century comedian. The author of five comedic books, including, "Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea," and "Uganda Be Kidding Me," has revolutionized the Netflix spectrum.
We all remember Chelsea's hit E! News show, "Chelsea Lately," which provided us with endless laughs, however, she canceled her show and signed with Netflix. She first produced an hour-long stand-up on Netflix called "Uganda Be Kidding Me: Live," and then moved to a four-episode documentary called "Chelsea Does," where she explored marriage, racism, Silicon Valley and drugs.
Netflix users and Chelsea fans anxiously awaited the arrival of more episodes to this hilarious documentary series, to our surprise... Chelsea created her new Netflix show, "Chelsea," where she films three times a week and, let me tell you, it's all the rage; here's why.
1. Her dog is onstage at all times
Chelsea's dogs, if you've ever seen them on her Snapchat, look like huge teddy bears. Chunk is always roaming around the stage for our entertainment and clearly all her guests love it.
2. Celebrity Guests
Similar to "Chelsea Lately," her new Netflix series stars special celebrity guests such as Wanda Sykes, Gwenyth Paltrow, DJ Khalid, Gwen Stefani and much more.
3. No commercial breaks
No more irrelevant commercial breaks during our Chelsea time! The commercials provided on the show, which usually appear once or twice throughout the 30-minute show, are all Netflix related and involve celebrities starring in Netflix original shows. These humorous commercials allow viewers to stay on track with the show itself.
4. Her infamous dinner parties
Chelsea hosts dinner parties for her friends/celebrities where they discuss topics and partake in Chelsea's favorite hobby, drinking. These dinners are beyond entertaining... if only I could be invited to one.
5. Chelsea Grammar
This segment is introduced by Kelsey Grammer, and Chelsea goes into an in-depth segment on common grammar mistakes. She goes full rage about these topics, especially the anyway vs. anyways concept. Anyways is not a word.
6. She talks to the audience
Chelsea engages her studio audience by asking them invading questions. She's asked the audience their opinion on sleeping medication vs. marijuana and even questions in regards to children.
7. She's real
Chelsea is as real as it gets, and that's what we love about her. She's not afraid to have people hating on her and she's over the celebrity gossip. In my eyes, she's a talk show savior.
Thank you for all that you do, Chelsea, and we can't wait to see what's up next on "Chelsea," which is streaming in 190 different countries.
