There are two types of people in this crazy world we live in. Those who believe, and those who don't. A lot of times people will try to put you down by telling you that something "isn't possible" or that you're "not capable", and then they try to steer you from the idea that could make or break you. Yes, I know and understand that sometimes people are just trying to help, but if you truly want something, then you don't need someone else's negativity to bring you down. I believe life is about taking risks and getting yourself known. Nobody was put on this planet to cower away from your dreams, you were born with a purpose. Born with a passion that sets you apart from everyone else, something that makes you you!
There's an old saying that everyone knows about, "Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.", Now I do believe this is a true statement, I also want to alter it and perhaps dwell deeper into the meaning and how it applies to this situation. Your enemies aren't your biggest threat to success. Sometimes the people saying "you can't" are the faces you see on a daily basis. Don't classify these people as fake or two-faced yet, because in reality, these people could be the help you needed. When your parents told you no when you were young, what did you do? Ask the other parent? Maybe went ahead and did that it anyway? Take that passed down negativity, and make that your motivation! use those harsh words to motivate yourself to go the extra mile, just so you can happily prove that you can do it. To prove to those people that you are capable of anything so long as you work hard for it. Keep in mind that people are cruel, and will do anything to make themselves feel empowered. Even if that means crushing your dreams to fulfill theirs.
Cheers to the people who told us we couldn't,because without them, maybe we wouldn't have. Here's a big thank you to those that said being a doctor wasn't feasible, or that you could't get that 4.0 GPA, or that you would't get the job position you applied for, because of your negativity, we did.
