1.Bellsmith Springs: $0 (Except gas.)

We had to hike to the spring which was cool and made it even more fun.

But 8/10 because I face planted right before we got to the spring and it wasn't my finest moment.

2. Special Olympics: $0

It costs nothing to volunteer with your significant other. You should definitely consider this because it makes you so much closer and brings out the best in you both.

10/10 always.

3. Sitting on the beach: Probably $ on my parents part to get us to the beach but free for us.

You don't need to go to a fancy dinner on the beach. You can chill in the ocean and eat Pringles in the sand for 9 hours.

10/10 I love Pringles.

4. Tioga Falls: $0 (Again, except for gas.)

This was so pretty and all I wanted was to see a waterfall and I finally did. Find a national park near you and go to it.

But 9/10 because in my excitement I slipped under the waterfall. Water was not the only thing falling that day.

5. Board Games: $0

This can be a blood bath but sometimes it can be fun.

0/10 because I lost.

6. Crane Machines: Many quarters

This can be frustrating but one time I went on a date that was just crane machines. We just went to Walmart and did that and it was awesome. Because we won.

10/10 Still have the animals.

7. Playing in the rain: $0

When it's raining, you've got a boogie board, and a very deep ditch, what else can you do?

7/10 Because I didn't bring other clothes.

8. Going to a sporting event and only cheering for the band!: $5 each

Because that drum line was underappreciated.

6/10 because I hate sports and the band wasn't playing the whole time.

9. Being Zombies to be shot at with paintballs!: $0 but a lot of bruising

I'm glad I can say I did this but would never do this again. Do not recommend for a first date.

5/10 because I cried more than once.

10. Playing in the snow: $0

All you winter haters can get out of my face.

10/10 love the snow.

11. Going to the ER: Thousands of dollars for his parents probably.

Wouldn't recommend. Slightly scary, not much romance.

3/10 because 3 is the grade of the concussion you received that day.

12. Roller Skating: $8 each

Very fun and I got to do the Cha-Cha Slide.

6/10 because I fell and everyone laughed and you got 17th in limbo.

13. Bernheim Forest: $5 because you should donate to the forest.

Beautiful and I loved it.

10/10 said "aw," 37 times approx.

14. Babysitting: +dollars

Definitely fun and always interesting. A good way to bond and to learn that you don't want children anytime soon.

9/10

15. Camp Counseling: $0

Not really a "date," but still my favorite. Like I said before, volunteer together. You make so many memories that you'll remember forever.

You don't need money to have fun. This article is dedicated to my soul sister, Will. Thanks for being just as cheap as I am and for taking me on all these cool dates.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
