7 Reasons To Head To Charleston For A Bachelorette Party

There are so many fun places to go to when you're planning a bachelorette party for yourself or for one of your friends. If you want to really party a place like Vegas or Nashville might be best, or if you want something where you can lounge all day, an all-inclusive or cruise might be better. You can actually make anything of your party, but as someone who just went on her bachelorette party, here are 7 reasons to grab your girls and head to Charleston, South Carolina.

1. King Street

This street has it all. They have shops, restaurants, bars, music, and people wondering around congratulating the bride. It's so much fun that you can spend almost an entire day just walking it and stopping into all of the different stores. It also has so much southern charm that it gives you the perfect mix of whatever you're looking for.

2. The Water

You can hop on a historical boat tour, head to the beach, rent a party boat for yourself, play water sports, sit outside at restaurants on the water and drink - whatever you want. It actually has something for everyone and makes for the cutest photos and the absolute best time.

3. Warm Weather

Sure, if you head down in January, maybe you won't have the warmest weather, but most of the year it's gorgeous down in South Carolina. It makes for exploring and walking around so much better because it's great weather all of the time. It's one of the best parts of the southern town.

4. The Food

Oh. My. Goodness. I don't think the whole time we were there, we ate a bad thing. The food in every restaurant we went to was so good that it made the weekend so much more enjoyable. We were constantly looking forward to our next meal. Especially if you love grits or biscuits - this is your town.

5. The Scene

You can without a doubt find anything you're looking for in this town. You can find live music, you can not have a sip of alcohol, you can go out dancing until 2 AM, you can lounge, you can party - whatever you want. There's a scene for everyone and it's beyond perfect because it fits all of the girls you're with.

6. The Bars

As I said above, there's something for everyone. But if you're looking to bar hop and you're looking for good drinks, make sure you head to Charleston. It has so many cool places and so many unique drink choices that it makes it so interesting. A few places to check out:

Uptown Social - they have a cool rooftop bar and an amazing butterfly wing mural to take photos in front of

Pour Taphouse - this place is like your own personal tasting room. You get to pay by the ounce of whatever you try and they have 40 or more taps including wine, seltzer, cider, beer, mead, and mixed drinks.

Stars Restaurant - the food is beyond amazing and their rooftop bar is so much fun to hang out on

7. The History

So this wasn't something we spent so much time on due to wanting to drink but I kept saying I needed to go back to Charleston to explore this side of the city. There's so much history there and so many types of tours to take, it's definitely worth it if you're looking for more of this type of trip. Also, this pretty much explains itself why you should try this but they have nighttime ghost tours. Yes. Just go do one.

All in all, there's so many things to do that it'll be worth every penny you spend. It's one of the cutest, most stylish, charming, small cities I've ever been to. Highly recommend!!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
