It is time to accept that life is going to take you through a thousand different situations and emotions to get you exactly where you need to be. You are going to have to accept that change is coming, and that change is OK.

When something new comes your way, you need to understand that embracing it with all that you have will only make the change better. If you are holding back from the change you are going to miss out on some of the best times of your life. Embracing something new is terrifying, but it is also beautiful. All of the changes that you are undergoing have been exactly what you needed at the time that you needed it. When you needed to meet a new person, you started a new friendship, even if it was not with exactly who you thought it would be with. When you needed to get away from a relationship, something happened to end that relationship, even if you didn't understand it at the time it was exactly what you needed.

Stop thinking that you know that everything is better if it stays exactly how it is. Change is a natural part of life, everything changes and that is how it is meant to be. You have changed, and there is nothing wrong with that. You aren't the same person that you were a year ago or even a month ago. You are growing and changing every day. When it comes down to it, you should be proud of everything that you have had to overcome to get to where you are today and you should be excited for all the things that are going to keep changing to get where you are going.

When you think about how terrifying change is, remember that you have gotten through every change you have undergone. Don't worry about what could go wrong when there are so many things that could go right. If you are focused on what is going wrong constantly, you are never going to embrace all of the positive things that are happening right in front of you. Change your outlook on change, it will make your life so much better.

When was the last time you let life happen? Stop hiding from change and allow things to happen for you. You are getting ready to undergo a world of difference, it is going to be beautiful, as long as you let it be.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
