Change Can Be Good

Life gets easier when you stop fighting change.

It seems that as soon as you get your life together and everything is stable, things always take a turn. Every time. And you can either fight the change or embrace.

I say embrace it.

There's a famous quote that says, "Everything happens for a reason." This applies to the various changes in your life too. You may think that something happens, like failing an exam or going through a breakup, that it is the worst thing to happen to you. You might ask why your life is like this, or why God is punishing you. But these changes in your life will end up good somehow. You could find out that that class maybe just is not for you. Or you can grow from a breakup and become a stronger person emotionally and love yourself more physically.

But how can you just embrace change so easily? It's not always easy. Life is messy, but sometimes it's okay to just take a moment and get yourself together before moving on. Most people do not like change. They enjoy their routines, and when they are interrupted, their life is chaotic. Whenever a big change occurs in my life, one I was not expecting, I sit back, think about all of the things going right and all of the possible outcomes. Because at the end of the day, something good will come out of a bad situation. You just have to sit back and wait for it.

Next time you face a hard situation, try to remember to stay positive and remember that everything happens for a reason. The good will eventually show through, it might just take some time.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register.
