Another installment of #whoowhooshit.

The Full Moon is approaching quickly. If you are anything like me, you feel some kind of connection to the moon. September is the Harvest moon, and could arguably be the most important time of the year. So, I was thinking of ways that I could celebrate and honor this special time.

1. Moon Gaze

Kind of like the male gaze, but not actually at all. This is probably the most obvious and easiest option. Go out and sit under the moon. Bonus: laying on the grass and looking up. Feel that energy of the moon cleanse you.

2. Meditate

Find a quiet place and meditate under the moon’s glow. You can use a candle or not. Just close your eyes and focus on your breathing. Clear your mind and focus on being. You could add a mantra or don’t, it’s all up to you!

3. Donate

This could be anytime, but the full moon is a good time to release and create good energy. Donating money, items, or your time can be a great way of doing just that!

4. Get Wet!

The moon controls tides, so this makes them very closely related. So visit the beach, a pond, or whatever you have access to. Sitting by the water and feeling its energy is fine if it is too cold to even think of getting in.

5. Cleanse your space

Burn a smudge stick around your area. Again, the Full Moon is a good time to cleanse and renew.

6. Full Moon tea

Pour warm water over your favorite tea or herbs then let it sit outside in the moonlight for the night. Drain the tea into a container and compost the herbs. Now you have a charged tea!

7. Do Moon Salutations

Like Sun salutations, there is a yoga sequence for the moon. Lost Woods yoga has a great tutorial! http://lostwoodsyoga.com/blog/2015/12/26/moon-salu...

8. Say a Full Moon prayer

There are many different Full Moon prayers out there, so find one that resonates with you and read it aloud in a quiet place

9. Perform a Full Moon Release

Write down all the things that do not serve you anymore (emotions, relationships, items, pain, illness, etc). Go outside and burn this piece of paper, making sure to catch the ashes into a bowl. Give thanks and let the ashes blow into the wind.

10. Perform a Full Moon Wish

It is basically the former ritual, but instead of writing things that do not serve you, write things you wish for (happiness, a goal, new friendships, etc).

When I was younger the moon always found itself outside my window while I was trying to fall asleep. I have always felt a connection to the orb. I fully believe in Christianity, but I think nature is a very significant link to God. Honoring his creations and love come natural to me.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Whether you met your new love interest online, through mutual friends, or another way entirely, you'll definitely want to know what you're getting into. I mean, really, what's the point in entering a relationship with someone if you don't know whether or not you're compatible on a very basic level?

Consider these 21 questions to ask in the talking stage when getting to know that new guy or girl you just started talking to:

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
