Calling All Introverts!

5 things every introvert can relate to...

Hello my fellow introverts, welcome to an article all about you! As introverts, we can be easily misunderstood and thus there are a lot of things that people say, or do that we sort of cringe at. Here are five of those things I came up with:

1. Homebody is your middle name

If you are introverted, there is a good chance that you are a bit of a homebody. You tend to prefer staying in (most likely watching Netflix let's be honest) instead of going out with friends. Sometimes, you may even "have plans" so you cannot possibly go out tonight...

2. You HATE Confrontation

While extroverts (for the most part) tend to enjoy debate and conversation in general, us introverts tend to shy away. If an argument ensues between two friends or heaven forbid someone attempts to argue with us, we run the opposite direction!

3. People Think Being Quiet is Weird...

In social situations in which you know a few or none of the people present, you tend to shy away from the horrible action of small-talk. This is not, however often thought by others, because you are weird. Heck, it may not even mean that you are shy! This tends to happen because you do not feel comfortable around the people present, or you simply have nothing to say of importance.

4. Crowds are not for you...

Us introverts thrive by being alone with our thoughts, it is how we recharge. Thus, large groups of people hanging around whilst you are trying to do just that, are quite annoying. It is not that you don't enjoy hanging out with friends, rather you simply need your alone time to stay sane.

5. You DESPISE talking about yourself

As we have already gone over, communicating to other humans is something that us introverts like to do as little as possible. Thus talking about ourselves to or (shudders) in front of people is a nightmare! Can we just get through the first day of a class without telling everyone where we are from and a fun fact?

Overall, introverts are pretty chill people. We enjoy food, watching TV, and really anything that involves staying within our comfort zones. Play by our rules and everything will be fine ;)

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
