It is about to be the time where every morning I will crawl out of bed, wishing I could get back into its warm, loving sheets. However, class tells me that I can't stay with my comfy-cozy bed. That is where you come in. You are hot, tasty, and filled with the joy that keeps me from biting off the heads of everyone I come in contact with. This one is for you, coffee.
Good coffee can be hard to come by and when you find that one blend that you absolutely love, you hold onto it and don't want to let go. Running out of that favorite blend can be a terrible thing. Running out of coffee all together can be worse than a break up. Then, you have to go find some of this caffeine gold that won't be as good as your own. Also, finding the perfect amount of cream and sugar, if you even use any, can be a challenge in itself, but it is not impossible. Just takes a little effort and dedication that we are all happy and willing to give.
I would say my coffee obsession is at its peak during the school year because, well that's the time of year when it started. My English teacher my senior year of college had a coffee maker in his classroom that his AP students could use and ever since then I have loved this dark drink. Yes, I know that my infatuation started a little late, but better late than never, right? It kept me sane while writing many essays and research papers. Now that I'm in college, the obsession has only grown. I need it to function throughout the school days. In the years to come, this need for caffeine will only grow and coffee will be there to help me through many work mornings and days.
So dear coffee, I love you more than you will ever know. Thank you for helping me through all of the early mornings and late, late nights. Without you, I probably would not have made it this far. You bring me joy and happiness. You are there for everything. The mornings where I have a lot to do and those when I just want to sit outside and enjoy the nice breeze and sunrise. Friends and boyfriends leave, but you, coffee, will always stay. Through thick and thin, you are always there. Thank you for all of your love and kindness. You have changed my life for the better and I will never be able to thank you enough.
