Being broke. We all know that feeling- especially as college students. I'm here to remind you of some of the best hacks for living the college student budget.
First of all, Pinterest will be your best friend. DIY can be more expensive than just buying the thing outright, but when done correctly, can save a ton of money. The possibilities for DIY and "life hacks" are endless on Pinterest. My sister and I live for Pinterest ideas.
Also, grocery shopping at the Dollar Tree is O-K-A-Y. I shop at the Dollar Tree (not Dollar General- not everything is $1 there) for my groceries and save so much money. Granted, it's usually smaller portions when it comes to food. But it's enough for one person's meal, so it's worth it.
Two words: Dirt. Cheap. The store Dirt Cheap is SUCH a blessing. The prices on their price tags are not what they really are- the code system is where the discounts are. I found $25 rain boots in there for $7! Just because it's not name brand doesn't mean it can't be just as good, guys.
(Same goes for Goodwill and consignment stores like Plato's Closet!)
So instead of shopping at big name places like Target or Whole Foods for groceries, or the mall for clothes, try out these places- or even try to make it yourself!
