We all have dreams and goals. We all have places we want to visit, states and countries we want to explore, and life goals we want to reach. Some people may only keep a mental note of their dreams and goals and some keep a list or detailed journal. It's important to remember where you've already been, what you've seen and where else you want to go. Personally, keeping a memory box has been such a joy and a blessing. A memory box can hold all your old or recent memories and you are always adding new ones to the box. My memory box is so full of memories that I will never forget and honestly, I organized it. For example, I was a photographer with BGSU Athletics for 5 years so I organized all of my press passes by year and put them in their own Ziploc bag.
If you have a written bucket list you probably don't think about being realistic. But who said your dreams have to be realistic? Your dreams are what keep you going to work every day to make that money to go for your dreams or if you're lucky enough, your job is your dream. But to be honest, life goals should be realistic or at least something you can accomplish some day. So go ahead. Write it down, cross it out, and dream. There is nothing more satisfying then crossing something out that you wrote down months or years ago. Don't be afraid of your bucket list either. Whatever you wrote down is something you want to do, something that will make you happy, and something you will remember forever. Don't write something down just because you saw it somewhere and it seemed cool. Write it down because you researched it, or you truly love it, or it's something that'll make YOU smile. Keep a bucket list for YOU, not other people.
Organize. I found it rather appealing to have an organized bucket list. Dreams vs. Goals. Places you want to visit, things you want to see, states and countries you want to explore, or concerts you want to go to. Goals. Graduate college, achieve a certain GPA, lose weight, be healthier, get a real world job or get married and settle down. Dreams are where you can set your mind free, where you can think about everything you haven't done that you still want to do. Dreams are meant to make you happy and smile, and have a good time. Goals are meant to be things you want to accomplish and how you want to life your life. Everyone makes goals, daily goals, weekly goals, monthly goals, or yearly goals. But no matter how to keep track of your goals, make a generalized list and when you've accomplished them, cross them out.
Live. Achieve. Smile. Be Happy. That's what a bucket list is supposed to be filled with.
