The weather outside might be frightful (hello, below-freezing temperatures!), but one of the most delightful parts of winter in the city is the Bryant Park Winter Village. Located just a short walk away from Grand Central and within throwing distance of major subway lines, the Bryan Park Winter Village is a great way to get into the spirit of the season while on a budget, with activities and shopping to please any and all park visitors.
Atheltic? Check out the Bryant Park ice rink, where you're able to strap on some ice skates and skate for as long as you want for free (if you don't have ice skates, no worries: you can rent some while you're there!) A foodie? There are tons of unique food stalls all around the Village, including DO cookie dough and delicious apple cider. Need to get some holiday shopping done? The shopping booths offer unique trinkets and gifts galore, ranging from scarves to ornaments to one-of-a-kind art pieces. And the best part? Entrance into the park is free! This truly is the best way to spend a chilly afternoon with friends and family alike.
The Bryant Park Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is on December 1 and The Winter Village is open through January 2, so get downtown to check out all the fun!
