If you're anything like me, makeup is rarely ever on your face — not just because it takes extra time you don't always have, but for a multitude of other reasons. It can be costly and sometimes looks unnatural if I don't do it exactly right, which is why I've created this master plan for how to add a little pizzaz to the natural look without spending too much — everything's under $15 and does a perfect job.
Baby Skin Primer -- Maybelline.
Hence the name, this makeup primer will leave your skin feeling oh so soft — baby soft. After moisturizing, apply a dollop of primer all over your face. This will create a velvety, matte base for the next step, BB Cream. It also blurs wrinkles, minimizes the appearance of pores, and evens out your skin tone. This product guarantees your makeup will stay put despite what your day entails.

BB Cream -- Maybelline.
BB Cream is a good alternative to heavy foundations. After priming your skin, apply the BB Cream to your entire face. Add more or less depending upon what kind of look you want. It gives you just enough coverage to look like you just spent all morning getting ready, just without the cakey feeling.

Shine Control Powder -- Neutrogena.
This stuff is magic and I swear by it. After applying the BB Cream, you apply the shine control powder with a big, fluffy brush. It takes away the shine without looking like you're trying too hard to cover it up, leaving you with a pristine, natural glow.

Lash Blast Mascara -- CoverGirl.
Mascara is my favorite part of any makeup look. This step really brings everything together. After the shine control powder, I usually apply just a little bit of mascara to just add a little something to my eyes. CoverGirl has never let me down.

Lip Butter -- Nivea.
This one is the finishing touch. Lip butters are nice for a dewy, gentle feeling on your lips without the stickiness of a lip gloss. I honestly prefer it to ChapStick and I think it does a better job of helping chapped lips, too. Plus, it helps that there are a bunch of different flavors.
