'To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before' Gives Hope To Every 7th Grader With A Crush

This movie was so good I watched it twice the day it came out. It's a cute, coming-of-age rom-com that didn't disappoint. You see all of those sappy, teenage Netflix movies and think "I already know what's going to happen. I don't need to watch it." This one you need to put those comments aside and sit down for cringe-worthy, but also adorable, romantic comedy.

Fact: everyone in middle school had a crush. One that you could just stare at from afar...but not in a creepy way. This movie takes you on that same journey. You get to see the crushes of a shy, nerdier girl, Lara Jean. At times you get second-hand embarrassment from her actions, but it only adds to the comedy in the movie. Everyone loves seeing the shy girl get the guy.

Lara Jean's love for Peter sort of snuck up on her, in a way that I think it does to everyone. Honestly, Peter is every girl's dream guy: hot, funny, and caring. In typical rom-com fashion, the cool guy ends up with the total opposite "nobody" girl. But in this movie, every person that watches it falls in love with this guy too. He can do no wrong, especially because he's a genuinely nice person to everyone, even Lara Jean's annoying little sister.

This movie is actually based on a book by Jenny Han, and I couldn't put the book down once I started reading it. There's more! The book is just the first part of a trilogy that Netflix hopefully continues to produce.

At times I cringed at how awkward Lara Jean was or swooned watching Peter. This movie, though terribly predictable, makes me root for their budding relationship and love. You always want the guy to get the girl. In movies like this, you are always waiting for the moment the main characters realize they're crazy in love with each other. This movie starts out because Lara Jean wrote love letters to her crushes, a seemingly plausible way to deal with emotion, but addressing them seems overkill. Nevertheless, look what came out of it! Amazing things can happen when you least expect it. Especially when Peter Kavinsky is involved, we all want something amazing to happen for us as well.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
