I have always enjoyed reading and have always read the books before seeing the movie. It is so much more exciting due to the detail and emotion the book gives that the movie cannot. Plus, you can see if how you visualized the characters is how the movie portrays them as well. It should be a known face that all books will almost always be better than the movie. Here is a list of movies that prove that to be true:
The Girl on a Train
The Giver
The Fault in Our Stars
The Divergent Series
The Hunger Games Series
The Perks of Being a Wallflower
The Great Gatsby
Paper Towns
To Kill A Mockingbird
Whoever decided that you could go watch a movie without seeing the book i sabsolutely absurd. Plus, I'm no fun to go see a movie with unless you've read the book becuase I will always, it never fails, say, "That's not how that went in the book" or "this wasn't even in the book!" All of the above are must reads before the movies ware watched. There is so much more to gather than what a movie screen can depict.
