12 Reasons You Need A Cup Of Coffee And A Book Instead Of A Boyfriend

A latte won't decide it doesn't love you anymore.

12 Reasons You Need A Cup Of Coffee And A Book Instead Of A Boyfriend

There are thousands of things in life that are better than that boy who makes you roll your eyes and get mad and swear that you're never dating again. Among those things are a cup of coffee and a good book. My fellow book lovers and caffeine fiends will agree with me here, with a little coercion. Anything is better than a boy who is going to use you, leave you, and brag to his bros at the end of it all, right?

Here's why a little coffee and a book will always be better than that boy you've been texting.

1. A book will relax you, a boy will just stress you out

Stressed? Pick up a book and drink your favorite latte. Don't want for him to text you back. And don't even think about double texting. Just read your book and drink your coffee, honey.

2. Lattes will never wake up one morning and decide they don't love you anymore

In fact, you'll enjoy spending your mornings with a latte a lot more than you will with a boy.

3. Coffee and books offer a variety

Boys come in two versions: the frat boy, or the boy who doesn't text you back. Sorry, I don't like anything plain. You can customize your latte however you want, and you can read whatever your heart desires. You can't customize that f*ckboy.

4. Neither coffee nor books will make you cry

5. You can never get enough of them

But you'll get sick of that boy real quick. Trust me. Coffee and books are forever.

6. Books give you your dream romance

Will that boy go on a picnic lunch date with you on the beach? Probs not, but you can read all about it in so many books.

7. Coffee gives you energy, versus taking the life out of you with one mess up after another

...Yep, I said it.

8. You actually enjoy finishing coffee or a good book

Yep, I said that too.

9. You want to share coffee and books with your friends

But you don't have to bring that boy home to anybody.

10. They're a nice 'Netflix and chill' alternative

11. They won't judge you, no matter your mood

Sad? Happy? Annoyed? Curl up with a book and coffee. They won't ask any dumb questions.

12. A good book and your caffeine fix will always be there for you

Especially after you ditch that f*ckboy.

What are you waiting for, ladies? Ditch him, get yourself a latte, and maybe (finally) read the Fifty Shades series.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
