You know those moments where you can't help but be inspired? You get that warm fuzzy feeling that you can't make go away.

That's how I felt when I picked up this book. I felt it from the first few pages.

"Love by the Book" is a must if you want to pick up the travel bug.

Without spoiling anything, it tells the story of a girl in her 20s from a small town on the East Coast taking the plunge and moving across the world to London to be her own person. She tackles the difficulty of dating and decides to follow a different dating guidebook every month and see which method works best. You almost feel like you're there with her going through her good and bad dates and living in her apartment with her and her roommate. She learns to juggle her dating life, her work life, and her social life.

I was given this book as a gift on my 18th birthday by one of my closest friends. Not only did she know this book was going to be my absolute favorite, but it came at such a pivotal moment in my life. I was about to graduate high school and I still wasn't sure what I wanted to do in terms of my future. I knew I wanted to go to college, but for what? I knew I wanted to travel and live abroad, but would that even be possible? This book honestly taught me that it's ok to take risks and it's ok to deal with things one day at a time.

When you turn 18 you don't know what to do. You don't know who you are or what you want to be or what you want to do with your life. But that's okay, you have time to figure it all out.

I never thought a book would have such an impact on my life or that a book like this even existed.

it's quirky, it's fun, and it's sure to put a smile on your face.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
