After the excellent year of films we had in 2017, it will be quite tough for 2018 to surpass it. With that being said, there are plenty of blockbuster films in 2018 that I am looking forward to, and here are the five I just can't wait for!

1. Isle of Dogs

I can’t wait for Wes Anderson’s newest animated stop-motion film. This one features an incredibly interesting plot where dog flu hits Japan and all dogs are shipped off to Trash Island. Also featuring perhaps the best and most diverse cast of 2018, Isle of Dogs looks to be one of the best films of 2018, possibly contending for an Animated Feature Academy Award.

2. The Incredibles II

I absolutely loved the first Incredibles. It featured excellent animation, great humor, awesome voice acting, and an interesting plot. This was far from a kid’s movie. Incredibles II hopes to explore what happens directly after the events of the first film, as all of the family are growing up and learning to balance their work (or school) life with being a super. I’ll be at the first showing of this one.

3. Solo: A Star Wars Story

Okay, yes, I’m excited to see a new Star Wars movie, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous about whether or not Solo was actually going to be good or not. I’m feeling pretty good about Donald Glover as Lando, but I’m not sure if anyone can properly become Harrison Ford, emulating his loose-cannon mannerisms.

4. Avengers: Infinity War

Now, I never really get too excited about superhero films, but this one looks like it will be the best one yet just for its sheer epicness. I can’t wait to see Chadwick Boseman, Tom Holland, RDJ, Chris Hemsworth, among other all the others. Thanos has always been one of my favorite villains, and I’m excited to see how they handle him.

5. Halloween

The new Halloween film is supposed to be the final confrontation between Laurie Strode and Michael Myers, which will prove to either be great, or terrible. Remakes of old horror slashers haven’t been very good recently, but I’m hoping that this will change things. If they decide to give this the same implicit feel as the original, it’ll be great. If they decide to make it more modern and change it up, it will fail.

We don't know too much about this project, and this is the only real poster we have.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
