Why I Want To Be Blair Waldorf

She's a force to be reckoned with.

Why I Want To Be Blair Waldorf

Blair Waldorf is my role model in life. As I watch her throughout the seasons of Gossip Girl, my obsession only grows. Rather than going into the normal bing-watching Netflix phase, I feel motivated to go out and accomplish all my goals, thanks to Blair Waldorf. She makes me want to dream bigger, dress better, and accomplish more.

Here are my reasons why I want to be Blair Waldorf.

1. Who wouldn’t want to be an independent, successful woman?

Blair Waldorf makes her own destiny. She doesn’t wait around for stuff to happen, she goes and gets it herself. Although her methods are slightly extreme and she has no limits, her perseverance and motivation is very admirable.

2. She always has a strong front and presents herself like a lady, except for the occasional slip up.

Regardless, she always recovers from her mistakes only stronger than before.

3. She doesn’t rely on a man to do anything.

In fact, she tells Chuck that although she loves him, she needs to be herself first before taking the identity as his girlfriend. She wants to create her own identity first. She wants to be a force to be reckoned with.

4. She takes her school work very seriously, ensuring she gets the best grades to get the best future.

She works hard for everything she gets while having a best friend who gets everything without lifting a finger. Not to mention, she manages to find girls who follow her around and worship her very being.

5. She is a loyal best friend, and is always honest when expressing her opinion.

Painfully honest.

6. Let us not forget her relationship with Chuck Bass.

Once they finally said those three 8-letter words to each other, we all knew they were destined for each other. They both only grow and get even better as the seasons go on.

7. Blair will always defend and protect her friends and family.

Anyone who threatens her friends or family gets on Blair's hit list and eventually leaves the city... with Blair's help of course.

8. She doesn’t open her heart to many people, but when she does, she does so whole-heartedly.

9. Wherever Blair goes, she totally owns it.

10. It's easy to be all talk and no action, but Blair always keeps her word.

Blair Waldorf is a powerful woman. She makes sure she gets what she wants and wears beautiful dresses doing it. She takes responsibility for her actions and owns who she is, flaws and all.

Blair takes the impossible and makes it possible. She never shows signs of weakness. She takes the world by storm, not letting anyone stand in her way, not even the Chuck Bass.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
