Everyone has those childhood things that they just cannot forget. Some things just stick with you whether it is something your race is known for, based on your culture, or it's a family tradition. But as a black woman, that's where a lot of my memories come from--black traditions, stuff black people are just known for, and things of that nature. And there just some things that black families and black moms do that you will always remember. And here are some of the top XX things that all black women and girls remember growing up.
1. The Hot Comb
2. "Blue Magic" Hair Grease
3. Trying to avoid all sources of water when your hair ACTUALLY did get straightened or relaxed.
How we all look trying to avoid the rain even when it is just a single drop.
4. Getting your hair done was an all-day affair (hell, it still is!)
5. Your mom yelling at you for one dish being left in the sink... even if it isn't yours
6. Hearing RnB music play super loud on a Saturday morning and knowing it was time to clean the whole house
