...and rightfully so.

Some people love her. Some people hate her.

And other people... well, other people are downright terrified of her.

17-year-old star Billie Eilish has taken the music world by storm alongside her brother Finneas, with whom she writes and produces her music.

Having just released her debut album "WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?", Eilish has already accomplished much more than the average 17-year-old, and she doesn't show any intentions of slowing down.

In a world where anything catchy is considered good, Eilish challenges convention through her lyrics and music video concepts, boasting nightmarish images and lyrics that command her audience's attention. if you don't listen, you will be lost, and if you are lost, you will get left behind.

Refusing to give Eilish's work the attention it deserves is denying yourself the opportunity to experience true ingenuity.

Many people turn away from Billie Eilish because her originality and unapologetic unconventionality makes them uncomfortable, and if you ask me, this is a terrible excuse to ignore arguably the most talented artist in the music industry right now.

To be quite honest, music has been simplified and boiled down into something that it was never intended to be. Music is meant to be so much more than the same five words repeated on top of an easy-to-remember melody that sounds nice on the radio. In Billie Eilish's hands, music is exactly what it is meant to be: creative, refreshing, and full of meaning. Eilish ditches the empty, filler-words we find in most of the popular mainstream music of today, opting for cryptic and crafty riddles and metaphors instead. Zone out, and chances are you'll be missing something.

Beyond her lyrics, however, Eilish and her brother have mastered the art of music as a production, boasting underlying melodies that build, swell, crash, and dissipate at all the right times. This music is more than just music. It is truly an experience.

If you find yourself shying away from the frightening graphics of the videos that go hand in hand with Billie Eilish's recent hit singles, you're not alone, but you are missing out. These videos complete the puzzle that you may otherwise be left piecing together.

Regardless of whether or not you end up liking Eilish once you've delved into her work, her talent and creativity is absolutely undeniable and unmatched, at least right now. And it is exactly what we need.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
