Big Movies Still Coming In 2016

Its hard to believe that the year 2016 only has three months left. It has gone by so fast and along the way we have experienced many things. Some of the most memorable would be the movies. This year has been great for movies. Movies like "Lights Out" and "Captain America Civil War" have done really well at the box office. With only three months left in this year, we still have a magnitude of movies coming. Below, I list the top five anticipated movies still coming in 2016.

5. Rings

A sequel to the 2002 movie "The Ring" is set to release on October 28. The release day is the Friday before Halloween so if you're in the mood for a scare, this movie may be just what you need. "Rings" is the story of a girl who is on the receiving end of a terrifying video. Once you have watched the video, you will mysteriously die in seven days. Each day is terrifying with hallucinations and strange phenomenon occurring. The girl then discovers a surprising secret about the video that no one has yet to uncover. So if you want to start off your Halloween weekend right, "Rings" may be for you.

4. Assassin's Creed

Another highly anticipated movie that started as a video game franchise is "Assassin's Creed." The video game franchise produced by Ubisoft and the movie producer 20th Century Fox come together for an epic story. This movie takes place in the same universe as the games. Michael Fassbender who stars as Callum Lynch explores his ancestors footsteps in 15th century Spain. There he will learn skills and knowledge of the assassins in order to topple the Templar rule in present day. If you enjoy fantasy or action and adventure movies then this is for your. You can catch it in theaters on December 21.

3. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Enter the wizarding world of Harry Potter once more with "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them." J.K. Rowling is at it again with another intriguing series. "Fantastic Beasts" tells the story of Newt Scamander(Eddie Redmayne) in the secret community of witches and wizards in New York. Taking place 70 years before the events of Harry Potter, Newt Scamander is a writer of a textbook Harry Potter uses in the movies. For those of you who are magically addicted to this universe, you can find yourself immersed into it again on November 18.

2. Doctor Strange

On November 4 you can see the second installment in Marvel's phase three plan, "Doctor Strange". Benedict Cumberbatch plays a neurosurgeon who's career is ruined by an accident. He searches for a solution to his problem only to find a hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions. Doctor Strange will make his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe before finally showing up later in "Avengers Infinity War."

1. Star Wars Rogue One

Whether you like Star Wars or not, this is going to be one of the biggest movies to release this year. Ever since the release of "The Force Awakens", Star Wars has become a global franchise that has reached billions of people. Becoming the highest grossing movie in America is an amazing achievement. What makes "Rogue One" special is that it is the first stand-alone Star Wars film which makes it the first anthology movie in Disney's planned collection. Rogue One tells the story of the brave rebellion steeling the first set of death star fans. The movie is planned to take fans all the way to just five minutes before "Star Wars A New Hope" begins. It will also feature Darth Vader who has not seen the big screen since 2005. You can see Vader on the big screen once more on December 16.

So if you're are looking for a movie to go see later this year, these are the highly anticipated ones to look out for. So if you are in for a scare or a science fiction aw, then some of this movies can satisfy those needs.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated.
