Christmas Is Not Cancelled

Big Brother 19 Episode 5 Recap

Is this house really dumb or is it really smart? That is the real question after tonight's eviction vote where Jillian was sent packing by an 8-4 vote. This was probably one of the best eviction episodes in recent history because we literally saw the vote swing tonight and a person's game go up in scorching hot flames.

We left the House Guests last night after Cody's plan of back dooring Paul backfired miserably and he put up Christmas. The house was shocked and Paul and Christmas felt very on the outside of what had just happened, even more so than everyone else. As far as they knew, they were with the majority. Paul views this as everyone betrayed him and Christmas sees it as her being back stabbed. Immediately, Christmas confronts Cody about the situation and like usually he really can't give an explanation. Man is he terrible at this game or what? Everyone else is running around trying to figure out what happened and Raven, Matt, and Alena corner Paul in a room to tell him that they had no idea he was going to be put up. This took Paul a little while to believe, but at the end of the day I think he buys it. It is completely understandable why he didn't at first though because Cody is not your typical BB player. Usually a player doesn't go rouge on their alliance. Meanwhile, Jessica is trying to do damage control for her and Cody. She then tells Cody flat out that she is having a hard time trusting him and he storms off. They make up later, but Jessica still tells him to not do anything stupid. If anyone besides Cody got screwed tonight, it was hands down Jessica. She really needs to distance herself and if she doesn't win HOH, she is going to be in trouble.

We then see the #ChristmasBreak which is when Christmas broke her foot while riding around on Jillian's back, Everyone is pretty nice to her when she gets back from the doctor's except Jessica, Cody, and Mark who are up in the HOH room. Meanwhile, Paul is working on votes to try to get Christmas to stay. In the episode, he approaches Alex, Kevin, and Jason to try to get them to vote to save Christmas, but to no avail. In the live show though, Kevin switched his vote so you have to wonder what Paul had to do with it if anything. Paul also says that Josh was going to vote Christmas, but he really couldn't trust the guy. It is possible that Paul might be able to trust him now, but him being weary of Josh means that he is still weighing heavy on everyone's minds as a possible target.

A big story line tonight was just how much of a teddy bear Mark is. He feels really bad about not coming to see Christmas. Early in the episode, he wanted to stay loyal to Cody and had every intention of going. with him, but after a heart to heart with Christmas about how bad he felt, he decided to change his vote. To be honest, Christmas could've been acting but either way it produced results. In retrospect, the best thing that could've happened to her honestly is her foot breaking. She now isn't a comp threat and can now garner sympathy with the other players. She is going to really have to work her social game. The house probably should've evicted her tonight, but they saved her and that shows she has allies. Christmas is in this for the long haul. It will be interesting to see who Cody and Jessica go with now. I is very possible that they could go with the outsiders.

Well its time for the HoH Comp! Lets see who gets some power. It'll be fun if it's Jessica or Josh.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
