What a night. The word on the street has been confirmed. This cast is brilliant. There are so many characters on this season and so many abrasive people that when these feeds turn on tonight, there's going to be a good chance it is going to be complete chaos, which I love.
Tonight's episode started off with the aftermath of Cameron leaving. Paul knows he has to lay low now after all the power the twist gave him. Christmas showed her brilliance as well. She must've known that she was not going to be evicted last night and she wanted to see who the two votes were for her. She now knows that there are some people in the house that aren't as smitten with her as others. This honestly is such a risky move, but it's the kind of risk that a lot of Big Brother players wouldn't take. It makes the show more exciting and suspenseful. Christmas hopefully will continue to deliver on that front.
Meanwhile, Josh is freaking out. The paranoia is really starting to set in and he is starting to lose it. Mark is trying to calm him down and just nothing is working. During this conversation, he spills the beans to Mark and Jason that Megan was throwing out the possibility of going after one of the big guys first. This was not a bad move by Josh even though he probably didn't realize this. This just goes to show that Megan is playing too hard, too fast and that she can't keep her mouth shut. Finally, Christmas is able to console him a little bit and get him to calm down. Christmas is already showing her social skills and knowledge of the game. She is living up to the hype.
It was now time for the HoH competition hosted by BB18 winner Nicole! They were paired in teams going to retrieve apples across on pond using ropes. There was however a golden apple you could retrieve that would guarantee that person's safety, but would screw the rest of the team over. Of course, Josh was the one that got it making him safe for the week, but pissing everyone else off. Thank god he made it to the Live Feeds. Cody and Paul's team were the two that the winning teams picked to play and Cody beat Paul out. This is really not the best case scenario for Paul at all. Cody has been looking at Paul like he is the devil ever since her got in the house. Even when Paul was pulling his antics with the chaps, Cody did not even flinch. Cody really doesn't have much personality, but honestly that is what is going to make him so great.
Paul's social game is already hard at work. We saw that with Jason and then with Mark when Cody was saying he was considering back dooring Paul and Mark really stuck up for him. This is the game Paul needs to play. He just needs to relax, chill, and make everyone laugh. If he does that and forms all the right relationships, he will be sitting pretty. Meanwhile, Cody has formed his bro-alliance with Mark and Matt. He is also working on trying to get Christmas, Jessica, Alena, and Dominique. The rest he views as outsiders. Megan goes to try to convince him to not nominate her, but it turns out to be really awkward and doesn't get her far. It is really clear this alliance that was made night one is already something that people are well aware of. That is why they are in the hole and this is why Jillian and Meagan are on the block. They both had to basically be on the block already and Cody didn't want to rock the boat, even though he still really wants to backdoor Paul. The best part about his ceremony though was him saying that he just didn't like Megan. This guy has no regards for anyone's feeling which is going to be so entertaining.
Josh also lost his mind again after he won the Golden Apple. He called Megan a snake and then did it again in front of the whole house. In some world, Josh thought it was going to be him. He made himself a target for next week though because of this whole big fiasco. After a talk with Kevin, he decided to go apologize to Megan and it looks right now to be water under the bridge. Kevin being the father figure is going to be very common around the house this season. Kevin is going to go deep in the game, but there is no way he will win because he is just too nice. He will be interesting to watch though. All of these people will be fun to watch this season in general. I think BB19 is shaping up to be a great season.
